“Dear Lord,
Forgive
me
all my conscious and
unconscious
sins. I renounce
any
sin and evil. I renounce you,
The Satan.
Jesus, I trust that
You
died for me on Calvary and shed Your Sacred
Blood. I trust that through this prayer of confession
You
will
forgive
me
all
my sins
and wash them
away
with Your
Sacred
blood. Come into
my heart, wash my sins
with
Your Blood and be my Lord.
Let
me be born from on high through
Your Word and
the
Holy
Spirit.
Open Your
Holy
Writ to
me.
Confide in me and come into
my heart and
be
My Lord to
my
dying day
and
save my
soul
for
Your
Holy Kingdom”
Why
is this prayer necessary?
We
can find answer in Bible if we read verses of the Holy Writ
given below. But first I would like to give an example. If
you have children let’s imagine that your child has
committed an offence. You want to punish him. But before to
do it you can ask: “Why did you do this?” Usually we get an
answer:
1.
He deceives.
2.
He tries to lay
the blame on other children.
3.
He tries to
justify himself and invents different stories that result in
offence.
4.
After punishment
he continues to do the same.
5.
He tells the
truth and asks our pardon.
I
think that if child told the truth and asked your pardon you
would not punish him. Ask yourself: “Are my children always
honest with me? Do we always say the truth to our parents?”
If your answers are negative then ask you again: “Why does
it happen in our and our children’s lives?”
Do
you like behavior of your child when he does not tell you
the truth?
We
have the same relations with our Heavenly Father.
We can sin and justify ourselves, make up different answers
to salve our conscience. We can lie to ourselves and burn
our conscience that it would not judge us and then think
out: “Why are there problems and damnation in my life? I am
so pious.”
In
this sermon we’ll consider what to do that our children
won’t lie and commit an offence and we’ll do the same before
God.
We
can deceive ourselves but it’s impossible to deceive God. If
you want to get rid of problems and damnation in your life,
to bring up a child according to the Holy Writ, if you don’t
want to see him in future as a drug addict, alcoholic or
criminal I would like you take into consideration following
recommendation given in Bible.
“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent:
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (According to Matthew
4:17).
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (The
Acts 2:38).
“For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being
justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is
in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3: 23-24).
“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance” (Matthew
3:8).
“But
as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all
manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy;
for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without
respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work,
pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as
ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,
as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by
tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of
Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who
verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world,
but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do
believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave
him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing
ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the
Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love
one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again,
not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word
of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (The First
Epistle General of Peter 1: 15-23).
“Now then we are
ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us:
we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God”
(Second Corinthians 5:20).
Why do we sin? We
become guilty before God because of following reasons:
1.
We are born with
genetic sins of our fathers and ancestors from Adam and Eve
to our parents.
2.
We bring our sins
to children.
3.
We sin ourselves
and often don’t reconcile to God.
4.
Sin divided us
from God and because of it we don’t have power not to sin.
We give a place to devil that brings deceases, depressions,
problems in family and in job, in society.
5.
We sin because
the Holy Spirit does not live in our heart.
Listed above
verses from the Holy Writ confirm that God is Holy and He
would not deal with sinful man until he repents and obtains
holiness through Jesus Christ. If a man does not have
contact with God he does not have power not to sin. It is
proven by history of humanity and by our life.
I think that
everyone does not want to have problems. I think that any
mother wishes that her children were not ill, imprisoned,
and took alcoholic or narcotic, got into criminal group.
Today a lot of people especially young take alcoholic or
drug. Sometimes parents even don’t know how to save their
children from this disaster. Nowadays many people suffer
from depressions and mental derangements. Their hearts feel
emptiness inside which hurts.
You can pretend
that everything is all right in your family and suffer
during all your life. But you can try to solve your
problems.
If you don’t want
to have problems depressing you then you need God. You have
to reconcile yourselves to your Savior Jesus Christ. In His
first preach Jesus Christ appealed to repent. That’s why the
Lord offers you to repent through His Word.
Why did Jesus
Christ having come on the earth start preaching about
repentance?
The Holy Writ
tells us that all people have sinned and are devoid if God
glory. In other words there may be God’s glory or
depressions and damnations in your life. There is no golden
medium in this case. So our world is arranged: you can
choose to have God defense or to have diseases and damnation
from the Satan.
We were born with
sins. Many of us have got damnations of their fathers and
forefathers not to mention our sins. When I am told “I have
never killed and stolen” I usually answer that everyone
copied off somebody’s test at school. When we say about our
sinless, according to John we lie to ourselves and
furthermore we don’t have His
truth. We
present Him as lying but God can not lie in His word.
God
bless us when He really lives in our heart. If we have no
place for God in our heart then wicked spirit occupies it
and we know whose this spirit is. God is Holy and He can not
live in sinful heart. The Lord loves His creation—a man. And
He saw that a man can not perform the Ten Commandments and a
man is under damnation. God is love and righteous judge. As
righteous judge He had to punish every one of us for our
sins. As God of love He doesn’t want to do it. That’s why He
has a plan of human salvation from damnation. The Lord sent
His only begotten Son on this earth in flesh that Jesus
Christ took our blame upon Himself. He sent His only
begotten Son to the Calvary where all human sins and
damnations were nailed down. It is confirmed in the Holy
Writ:
“For
God so loved the world, that he grave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlanding life. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. He that beliveth on him is not condemned: but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not
believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”
(Gospel according to John, chapter 3, verses 16-18).
“Christ hath redeemed us from the course of the law, being
made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed every one
that hangeth on a tree” (Galatians 3:13).
You
can ask: If Jesus Christ took our damnations upon himself
why do we have so many problems? Answer is simple: we have
an access to Calvary but our sins and damnations will leave
there only if: 1) we have forgiveness of all our sins
through the prayer of confession; 2) we don’t sin.
You
can say - exclusive circle. But God does not have exclusive
circles. I’ll name some reasons why Jesus Christ was
crucified on Calvary, for what we need the prayer of
confession and where you can get power not to sin:
1)
We can not be
vindicated by money or good deeds. Our sins can be washed
just by Sacred Blood of Jesus Christ. After repentance your
life must be confirmed by good deeds.
2)
A man can live
according to the Holy Writ on the earth only with the help
of the Holy Spirit.
“But
if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall
also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth
in you”(Romans 8:11).
The
Heavenly Father raised up Jesus Christ by force of the Holy
Spirit. When we take repentance before God this force of the
Holy Spirit comes into our heart and gives power not to sin.
The Holy Spirit settles in man’s heart after sincere
prayer of confession. I could not perform the Ten
Commandments for 38 years. When I have repented I never
broke the Ten Commandments because the Holy Spirit dwells in
my heart.
If
you attend church and continue to sin it means that you
didn’t meet God and didn’t have sincere prayer of
confession. In new Evangelical churches people often think
if they repeat the prayer of confession after somebody they
would not ever sin. God gives a prayer of confession if a
man searches Him. Only after sincere prayer of confession we
can bring a worthy fruit of repentance.
3) A
man must know in what to believe but not in what others say
to believe. The Holy Spirit will open you Bible.
4) A
man will obtain eternal life only through Jesus Christ, and
only The Holy spirit will lead a man to paradise gates.
5)
Through the prayer of confession and being born from above
we’ll become sons of God. “But as many as received him, to
them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on his name” (John 1:12).
Having a power from God we are praying for our families, for
our problems. Thanks to our prayers many our relatives come
to God. As it is written “God is Spirit; and where God
Spirit is there is a freedom” – freedom from damnations,
freedom from depressions, freedom from sin, freedom from
satan. The Holy Spirit gives tears of gladness. If I could
express by words what a happiness to weep out on my knees
before God having received Father’s love. You can feel it if
you reconcile with God through Jesus Christ.
You
have to choose to live with damnations or take Jesus Christ
into your heart through the prayer of confession. He will
come into your heart by the Holy Spirit in order to give you
gladness of relations with Him on this earth and to give you
an eternal life where as written in Revelation, chapter 21,
verses 1-8:
“And
I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and
the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down
from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell
with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself
shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more
death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be
any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he
that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things
new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true
and faithful. And he said unto me, It’s done. I am Alpha and
Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that
is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He
that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his
God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and
unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerer, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire
and brimstone: which is the second death.”
You
have to decide to live on this earth in blessings or
damnations, to have eternal life in paradise or eternal
torments. I advise you to find Evangelical church and to
attend it for listening sermons. Through sermons you’ll
better understand why repentance is necessary. If you look
for God He will necessarily give you the prayer of
confession not in words but in heart. Through this prayer
you’ll establish relations with God and you won’t sin.
Even
if our children tell us true we sometimes can punish them in
a burst of anger. God can do the same.
"Can a woman
forget her sucking child, that she should have no compassion
on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will
not forget you. Behold, I have graven you on the palms of my
hands; your walls are continually before me” (Isaiah 49:
15-16). Can not we accept such
love from God? Is it wise from our side to suffer in sins
and damnations all our life and then because of us our
children suffer? Is it right for us to leave not blessings
but damnations for our children?
You
are personality and you have to decide to be with God or
not. God does not have fortuities if you have read this
sermon by chance. It means that God gives you a chance to be
reconciled with Him through the Prayer of Confession.
I
offer you to accept blessings and eternal life after this
earth life through the Prayer of Confession relying on the
Holy Writ.
God
bless You!
